In 2003 Rick Hoerman along with his wife Andrea and 2 sons Seth and Grant decided to embark on a new challenge. With an extensive background in management, Rick wanted to buy a business that was exciting, interesting, and had an endless amount of growth potential. With no previous knowledge in the industry, they bought a full scale custom meat processing business. They hired some of the best butchers in the area and were forced to learn quick. Although there have been plenty of challenges over the years, the business has seen extensive and continued growth all the way through!

Involvement from extended family and friends has been at the heart of Horrmann Meat Company over the years, whether it's helping with the long hours of deer season, or different catering events, or even financially, there has been a great and humbling amount of support.

In 2011 one of those people, Keith Williams a family member decided it was time to take the next step and open a retail store in Springfield, MO. He along with the rest of the family have worked very hard to bring you Horrmann Meats Farmer Market. With a need for a true butcher shop in Springfield they felt the time was right.
